The difficulty of obtaining data from related entities is one of the reasons for the delay in data being channeled to the parties in need. To overcome this problem, an initiative has been taken with the development of a Data Management System known as Putra®Data.

The system developed at the beginning of 2023, is a new initiative of iDEC in an effort to streamline the process of data preparation and collection for the purpose of distributing statistics to stakeholders, related agencies such as the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT), the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and agencies that handle evaluation of university rankings such as the Times Higher Education (THE) ranking.

Putra®Data can be accessed via https://data.upm.edu.my by using UPM ID and is limited to authorized users only according to the cluster.
