Business and IT Leadership in Exploring Enterprise Architecture Based on Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a field of computer science that focuses on the development of systems capable of performing tasks that usually require human intelligence. AI features are systems that can learn, adapt, and make decisions.

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Roadmap as well as several initiatives to help technology development in Malaysia have been shared by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI). This AI Roadmap (AI-Rmap) will be used as a reference document to drive specific technologies, advanced intelligent systems and additional analytics in five national priority areas, namely:

  1. Agriculture & Forestry
  2. Medicine & Healthcare
  3. Smart Cities & Transportation
  4. Education
  5. Public services

In Malaysia, one of the application methods that will be applied is automatic assessment in the field of education to make it easier for students to upload their results by teachers and make it easier for students to refer.

In the medical field, AI has the potential to help manage patient records and facilitate data retrieval.

The webinar entitled Business and IT Leadership in Exploring Enterprise Architecture Based on Artificial Intelligence organized by the Institute of National Administration (INTAN) featured 3 panels with backgrounds in medicine, education and the public sector. Input was obtained regarding the list of leadership selection criteria, description of strategic and operational synergies, development of EA competencies and skills as well as the implementation of impact assessments.

Business sees the organization in terms of service delivery to customers and the costs used and the results obtained. IT looks from the point of view of the technology that will be used and involves high operating costs. EA combines the two as a bridge for digital service delivery.
