24 January 2025, Serdang – The 2025 Vice Chancellor's Message Ceremony took place in full glory at the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Culture and Arts Center. The event began with the singing of nasyid while waiting for the arrival of the guest of honor. The sound of greeting also echoed as the line of honored guests entered the hall.
This ceremony was attended by more than 1,500 people, including academic staff, administration, as well as members of the student representative council of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). The event started with the screening of a documentary montage looking back at the year 2024 before continuing with a message from the Vice Chancellor, Yang Berbahagia Dato' Professor Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd. Sadullah In his speech, he emphasized UPM's commitment to strengthen high-impact strategies through the True North framework in order to achieve a more sustainable future. With a focus on food security, environmental sustainability, and planetary health, UPM will introduce the Planet Health Blueprint, launch the Food Security Action Plan and strengthen community empowerment efforts.
The event continued with the Speech of the Corruption Free Pledge, which was led by the Vice Chancellor of UPM and witnessed by His Grace Tan Sri Dato' Sri Haji Azam bin Baki, Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC). All attendees also signed a pledge digitally as a sign of their commitment.

To facilitate MyDigital ID registration, the Infocomm Development Center (iDEC) together with the Registrar's Office in collaboration with the MyDigital ID Team of the National Digital Department (JDN) has opened a registration kiosk. This kiosk provides an opportunity for UPM residents to register and get technical assistance for online registration problems. Proof of registration needs to be uploaded via the PutraApps UPM link, where registration statistics are also displayed.
The ceremony ended with a visit to the exhibition. The Vice-Chancellor had the opportunity to try the Food Security Chatbot at the Infocomm Development Center (iDEC) booth.
iDEC is committed to continue to strive to ensure that all the targets that have been set are achieved in order to support the vision and mission of Universiti Putra Malaysia.
