28 May 2025, SERDANG – The Information and Communication Development Centre (iDEC), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), conducted the First-Level Assessment of the Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem (EKSA) iDEC 2025 on 28 May 2025. The assessment was part of iDEC’s continuous efforts to ensure a conducive, organised, clean, safe and efficient working environment for its staff.
EKSA is an initiative introduced by the Public Service Department (JPA) to strengthen quality work culture in the public sector through systematic and continuous workplace management practices. The assessment covered several key areas, including office space management, documentation, cleanliness, safety, as well as creativity and innovation within the workplace environment.
The assessment was conducted by the appointed EKSA auditors, namely Puan Sharifah Aflinda Syed Abdullah (CALC) as the Chief Auditor, together with Puan Sabariah Nik (WAZAN) and Cik Nursyazwina Fatini Abdul Manaf (PPDN). The assessment covered all iDEC EKSA Zones, including Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Sigma and the ICT Section.
The assessment also served as an important platform to identify the level of compliance, strengths and areas for improvement in iDEC’s EKSA implementation. It further enhanced staff awareness of the importance of maintaining an organised and well-managed workplace in supporting productivity and the delivery of quality services.
The continued commitment of all iDEC staff is essential to sustaining and strengthening EKSA practices. Through consistent cooperation and collective responsibility, the initiative can further promote a professional, disciplined and innovative work culture across iDEC.
The efforts undertaken are expected to strengthen iDEC’s workplace management practices while ensuring continuous improvement in the quality and effectiveness of its working environment. These initiatives will also serve as important preparation towards the Second-Level EKSA Assessment in 2026, reinforcing iDEC’s commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
