13 February 2026, Serdang – The iDEC Welfare and Recreation Club (KRiDEC), Universiti Putra Malaysia, successfully organized a Tajwid Workshop and Yasin Recitation Ceremony on Friday, 13 February 2026, held at the Concourse Area, iDEC Gamma, Putra Infoport. 

The programme, conducted in a hybrid format, was led by Al-Fadhil Ustaz Mohd Hafiz bin Ghazali from the Islamic Centre of UPM. The session focused on strengthening basic tajwid rules as thorough preparation for iDEC staff to participate in tadarus activities during the upcoming month of Ramadan. In addition to theoretical sharing, the workshop also provided participants with the opportunity to improve their recitation through talaqqi and to interact directly with the speaker.

Following the workshop session, which concluded at 10:30 a.m., the programme continued with the recitation of Surah Yasin and a doa selamat led by Ustaz Mohd Hafiz. Besides seeking blessings and smoothness in daily work, the gathering also served as a platform to pray for the well-being of all iDEC staff, hoping that they will be granted good health to perform their worship during the blessed month ahead.

The programme concluded with a potluck meal attended by participants and management representatives.

The encouraging response from iDEC staff reflects their commitment to strengthening the quality of Quranic recitation and fostering good relationships among colleagues. KRiDEC would like to express its appreciation to the speaker and all parties involved in making the programme a success. It is hoped that the knowledge gained will be fully utilized by all iDEC staff throughout the coming month of Ramadan.
