SERDANG, 12 June 2026 – The InfoComm Development Centre (iDEC), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), welcomed a visit by YBhg. Dato’ Sri Jailani bin Johari, Chairman of the UPM Board of Directors (LPU), as part of the Meet & Greet Session between the LPU Chairman and iDEC Staff, held at the iDEC Alpha, Gamma and Sigma Buildings.

The programme commenced with a welcoming address by YBrs. Prof. Ts. Dr. Nurfadhlina Mohd Sharef, Chief Digital Officer (CDO) and Director of iDEC, followed by an interactive session and a presentation on iDEC’s strategic direction. The presentation provided an overview of iDEC’s role and strategic plans in supporting the university’s digital transformation agenda.

The LPU Chairman’s delegation was also taken on a tour of the facilities at the iDEC Buildings to gain first-hand insight into the information and communication technology ecosystem supporting UPM’s operations and digitalisation agenda. The visit provided an opportunity for the delegation to gain a deeper understanding of iDEC’s functions and initiatives in strengthening the delivery of ICT services across the university.

The highlight of the programme was an interactive session with representatives from various iDEC divisions and sections, conducted in a friendly and open atmosphere. The session served as a platform for iDEC staff to share their views, experiences, and aspirations in strengthening digital services and ICT innovation at UPM.

The programme concluded with a commemorative group photography session involving the LPU Chairman, members of the university management, and the entire iDEC community, symbolising the spirit of unity and collective commitment among staff in realising the university’s digitalisation aspirations.

It is hoped that this visit will serve as a catalyst for strengthening the relationship between the university management and iDEC staff, while further reinforcing efforts under the aspiration of “Together, Driving iDEC Towards UPM Digital Excellence” in support of the continued excellence of Universiti Putra Malaysia.
