7 January 2025, Putrajaya - Public Administration Development Circular (PKPA) No. 1 Year 2020 is provided to provide guidance to organizations to carry out analysis, design, planning and strategy implementation through Malaysia Government Enterprise Architecture (MyGovEA) to build Enterprise Architecture (EA) practices in agencies. It also provides guidance and methodology to agencies in identifying and streamlining the services provided by understanding the structure, functions, services, work processes, data used as well as applications and technologies that support the organization's services.Government Enterprise Architecture (MyGovEA) bagi membina amalan Enterprise Architecture (EA) dalam agensi. Ia juga menyediakan panduan dan metodologi kepada agensi dalam mengenal pasti dan memperkemas semula perkhidmatan yang disediakan dengan memahami struktur, fungsi, perkhidmatan, proses kerja, data yang digunakan serta aplikasi dan teknologi yang menyokong perkhidmatan organisasi.
Based on PKPA No. 1 of 2020, the Infocomm Development Center (iDEC) took the initiative to organize the UPM Enterprise Architecture (EA) Scope Determination Workshop on January 7, 2025 at Hotel Dorsett, Putrajaya. Participation is from the University Management Committee (JPU), Information and Communication Technology Committee (JKTMK), Strategic Data Management Committee (JPDSU) and iDEC Management. This workshop was held to understand the concept and importance of the EA approach in the context of the university, plan the implementation strategy of UPM's digitization using EA methods and determine the scope of EA implementation at UPM.
The workshop session started with an opening speech by Professor Ts. Dr. Nurfadhlina Mohd. Sharef who carried out his duties as Chief Digital Officer and was continued by the Welcome Speech of the Vice Chancellor, YBhg. Dato' Prof. Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah. The next session was held with the presentation of a sharing session by an invited speaker with the sharing title as below:
The impact produced from the workshop is the strategic and collective implementation of EA at UPM as well as the managed acceptance and adaptation of digitalization transformation at UPM.
