Serdang, 27 November 2025 – In conjunction with Sambutan Bulan Digital UPM 2025, a talk show session titled “Data Sovereignty, Driver of Intelligence” was held at the Ballroom, Faculty of Educational Studies, UPM.

The session was moderated by Prof. Nurfadhlina Mohd Sharef, Chief Digital Officer (CDO) of UPM, together with invited panelists comprising Assoc. Prof. Dr. Masrah Azrifah Azmi Murad, Deputy Director (Corporate Data) of the Centre for Strategy and Corporate Relations UPM; Assoc. Prof. Col(R) Dato’ Ts. Dr. Husin Jazri, Director of the Global Centre for Cyber Safety, School of Computer Science, Taylor’s University; Prof. Dr. Siva Kumar Balasundram, Head of Department, Faculty of Agriculture UPM; Mr. Mahathir Muhammad Rafie, Founder/CEO of Aibots Sdn Bhd; and Dr. Mohd Hafeez Osman, Deputy Director (ICT Infrastructure and Innovation), Information and Communication Development Centre UPM.

The main focus of the discussion was the transformation of data into strategic decisions, cyber threats, digital sovereignty, strengthening food security through data, AI data challenges, and the development of an AI and Big Data ecosystem.
