4th - 6th July 2025, Serdang: PutraSIMS Development Team conducted a working visit to Universiti Putra Malaysia Sarawak (UPMS). The purpose of this visit was to provide a briefing on the PutraSIMS modules to the staff at UPMS and to support the organization of the Open Day held on 5th July 2025. The Open Day provided an opportunity for eligible candidates to directly enroll in the Pre-Diploma and Diploma (special cases) programs through PutraSIMS.

This two-day visit was led by the Technical Lead for PutraSIMS Development, Mr. Norhezrulsham Bin Muhamad Nodin, and was joined by five other officers: Mr. Mohamad Illyas Md Yasin, Ms. Noor Nadhiya Mohammad, Ms. Noor Izzati Buharan Nordin, Ms. Nazila Ya’acob, and Ms. Siti Hadijah A. Rahim.

As a result of this visit, several identified issues with PutraSIMS were successfully addressed. These included assisting UPMS in setting up campus-specific configurations for Bintulu Campus such as fee rates and offer letters, helping candidates with the use of the PortalSIMS, and providing direct technical support during the Open Day event. It is hoped that the implementation of PutraSIMS will facilitate student admissions management and enhance the quality of ICT services at UPMS.
