18 November 2024, Kuala Lumpur: The National Digital Department (JDN), Ministry of Digital, in collaboration with the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) has organized the Series 2 Engagement Workshop with Agencies for the Development of Public Sector Artificial Intelligence (AI) Adoption Guidelines held at Hotel Le Meridian Kuala Lumpur, KL Sentral. This workshop is a series of Engagement Workshop Series 1 which was held on 29 October 2024 at Aloft Hotel KL Sentral.

The workshop aims to refine the initial draft of the guidelines by incorporating the various views and opinions of experts from across the public sector and relevant organisations. Universiti Putra Malaysia was represented by the Chief Digital Officer (acting), Professor Ts. Dr. Nurfadhlina Mohd. Sharef and Associate Profesor Dr. Azreen Azman.

Hopefully the Public Sector Artificial Intelligence (AI) Adoption Guidelines will be able to be developed and used as a guide by all public sector agencies in Malaysia.
