Mandate of UPM's Chief Digital Officer (CDO) and IDEC 2025 Staff Assembly

Serdang, 26 February 2025 – Mandate of UPM's Chief Digital Officer (CDO) and iDEC 2025 Staff Assembly was successfully held at Dewan Putra, the Centre for Co-Curricular and Student Development, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). The event was officiated by the Chief Digital Officer (CDO) and was attended by iDEC staff from various departments.

The event began with a welcoming speech and address from CDO YBhg. Prof. Ts. Dr. Nurfadhlina Mohd Sharef, where she emphasized the importance of digital innovation and the role of iDEC staff in realizing UPM's digital transformation. She also urged all iDEC staff to remain committed to enhancing the quality of services and information technology research at UPM.

The program continued with a Townhall session and dialogue with staff, providing a space for the attendees to interact and voice their opinions and suggestions regarding the organization's direction. This session was met with great enthusiasm, with numerous questions and constructive ideas presented.

In appreciation of outstanding staff, several awards were presented during the event, including the EKSA 2024 Award and the Golden Keyboard 2024 Award. Additionally, the iDEC choir team received recognition for their efforts in representing the institute in various official events. The event also paid tribute to staff who are about to retire, as a sign of appreciation for their contributions to the institution.

After the formal session, the attendees enjoyed a luncheon while being entertained by a performance from the iDEC buskers. Birthday celebrations were also held for staff with birthdays in January, February, and March, in a joyous atmosphere.

The event concluded with a group photo session with all attendees before dispersing. This gathering not only served as a platform for delivering messages and recognition but also strengthened camaraderie and a sense of togetherness among iDEC staff.
