Serdang, February 14, 2025 – The Kelab Kebajikan dan Rekreasi (KRiDEC) of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) organized an online lecture titled "Etiquette During Tadarus Al-Quran" as part of the preparations for welcoming the month of Ramadan 1446H. This program aimed to educate participants on the proper etiquette of tadarus and correct recitation techniques to enhance the quality of Quranic reading.

The lecture was delivered by Al-Fadhil Ustaz Shahrun Nizam bin Muhammad Sukarman, the Imam of Sultan Hisamuddin Alam Shah Mosque, Batu 14 Hulu Langat. The session took place from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM via Google Meet, allowing all KRiDEC members to join easily.

In his sharing session, Ustaz Shahrun Nizam provided participants with guidance on the proper etiquette of Quran recitation and the correct reading techniques based on the principles of tajwid. He also conducted practical guidance by highlighting verses that are commonly challenging to recite and assisting participants in correcting their pronunciation and recitation.

Participants were encouraged to bring their own copies of the Quran to facilitate reference and practice throughout the session. The programme concluded with a question-and-answer session, providing participants with an opportunity to seek clarification on proper recitation techniques and common mistakes to avoid.

The session is expected to enhance participants’ confidence and skills in Quran recitation while fostering a deeper appreciation and understanding of the Quran throughout the month of Ramadan.
