Serdang, February 14, 2025 – The Kelab Kebajikan dan Rekreasi (KRiDEC) of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) organized an online lecture titled "Etiquette During Tadarus Al-Quran" as part of the preparations for welcoming the month of Ramadan 1446H. This program aimed to educate participants on the proper etiquette of tadarus and correct recitation techniques to enhance the quality of Quranic reading.
The lecture was delivered by Al-Fadhil Ustaz Shahrun Nizam bin Muhammad Sukarman, the Imam of Sultan Hisamuddin Alam Shah Mosque, Batu 14 Hulu Langat. The session took place from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM via Google Meet, allowing all KRiDEC members to join easily.
During his sharing, Ustaz Shahrun Nizam not only emphasized the etiquette of tadarus but also provided live guidance on tajwid (rules of Quranic recitation). He highlighted commonly mispronounced verses and assisted participants in correcting their recitation. Attendees were encouraged to have their own copies of the Quran for reference throughout the session.
The program concluded with a Q&A session, offering participants the opportunity to gain further clarification on improving their recitation techniques. It is hoped that this program will help participants enhance the quality of their recitation and deepen their appreciation of the Quran throughout Ramadan.
