


Serdang, 20 May 2026 – The InfoComm Development Center (iDEC) conducted the Internal Audit for the Information Security Management System (ISMS) ISO/IEC 27001:2022 from 19 to 20 May 2026 (Tuesday–Wednesday). This internal audit forms part of the continuous monitoring and evaluation mechanism to assess the effectiveness of ISMS implementation in accordance with the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standard.
The audit process was carried out by the internal audit team led by Ms. Yasminani Mohamad as the Chief Internal Auditor (CIA), assisted by six auditors and three auditor trainees. The Internal Audit was conducted through three audit groups to ensure a systematic and comprehensive auditing process. The implementation of the audit also received strong cooperation and commitment from the management and the officers involved. The Audit Opening Meeting and Audit Closing Meeting were held online on 19 and 20 May 2026, respectively, with coordination from the Meeting Room at iDEC Beta Building. The commitment and cooperation demonstrated throughout the audit reflect iDEC’s continuous efforts to strengthen information security governance and enhance the effectiveness of ICT service delivery.
Overall, the ISMS Internal Audit 2026 was successfully carried out according to the planned schedule and provided a clear indication of iDEC’s level of readiness in managing information security.
It is hoped that the implementation of this audit will assist iDEC in enhancing its compliance with the requirements of the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Information Security Management System (ISMS) standard, thereby strengthening ICT risk management and information security practices. This, in turn, will support the effective delivery of ICT services within iDEC and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) as a whole.
