ICT Quality Management Webinar

SERDANG, November 2025 – The InfoComm Development Centre (iDEC), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), organised the UPM ICT Quality Management Webinar, conducted in two series on 17 November 2025 and 26 November 2025. The online programme was part of an ongoing effort to strengthen the understanding of the UPM community as ICT users regarding ICT procedures, regulations and effective ICT management practices.

  

The first series, held on 17 November 2025, focused on the Guidelines for ICT Procurement Approval Applications at UPM and the ICT Development Procedure. The sessions were designed to provide participants with a clearer understanding of the processes and requirements involved in ICT procurement and development at UPM. The sharing also provided participants with useful insights into the procedures that need to be followed to ensure ICT-related activities are carried out systematically and in accordance with the university’s established requirements.

Meanwhile, Webinar Series 2, held on 26 November 2025, highlighted the ICT Maintenance Procedure and ICT Service Procedure. These topics emphasised the importance of systematic ICT maintenance and service delivery in ensuring that the university’s digital facilities and services remain reliable, efficient and operational.

The webinars featured iDEC officers as speakers, sharing their knowledge and expertise in their respective areas. The first series featured Ts. Rizal Haryalia on the Guidelines for ICT Procurement Approval Applications at UPM and Ts. Jurainah Mohamed Amin on the ICT Development Procedure. The second series featured Ts. Syed Mohamed Nazran Syed Ismail, who presented the ICT Maintenance Procedure, and Ts. Rizal Razak, who presented the ICT Service Procedure. The sessions were also facilitated by iDEC moderators.

The organisation of the webinar reflects iDEC’s commitment to strengthening ICT quality management practices among the UPM community. Through these knowledge-sharing sessions, participants were able to enhance their understanding of ICT procedures while gaining greater awareness of the importance of systematic and quality-driven ICT service delivery.

The initiative is expected to assist UPM staff in managing ICT-related matters more effectively while supporting the university’s continuous efforts to strengthen ICT governance, service quality and digital transformation. It also demonstrates the importance of continuous knowledge sharing in ensuring that ICT users are well-informed and able to comply with established procedures, ultimately contributing to a more efficient, structured and high-quality digital service environment across UPM.
