SERDANG, 12 January 2026 – The Information and Communication Development Centre (iDEC), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), successfully completed the handover of the Putra International System (PINS) Project to the UPM International Centre (iPUTRA), as part of ongoing efforts to support digitalisation and strengthen the management of the university’s international activities.

The PINS project was developed to provide a more structured and integrated system to support information management and processes related to UPM’s international affairs. The development of the system reflects iDEC’s commitment to delivering information technology solutions that address the needs of Centres of Responsibility (PTJs) while enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the university’s digital services.

The project handover, which took place on 12 January 2026, also marked the outcome of collaboration and commitment between the iDEC development team and PUTRAi. The project was developed by Ts. Ahmad Faisal Abdul Ghafar, Sharifah Harzatul Shima Syed Hardan, and Rafidah Husain, who contributed their expertise and efforts towards the successful development of the system.

The development of PINS also highlights the importance of collaboration between technical teams and system users in ensuring that digital solutions are aligned with operational requirements and provide added value to the organisation. Through appropriate digital solutions, information management can be carried out in a more systematic, efficient, and effective manner.

The handover further reflects iDEC’s continuous efforts to strengthen UPM’s digital ecosystem through the development of applications and systems that support the university’s strategic needs. Initiatives such as PINS are expected to assist iPUTRA in streamlining work processes, improving information management, and supporting more responsive service delivery to the university community and stakeholders.
