Serdang, 15 May 2026 – The InfoComm Development Centre (iDEC), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), continues its commitment to strengthening a quality-driven work culture and conducive workplace environment through the organisation of the Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem (EKSA) Enhancement and Awareness Course on 4 May 2026, followed by the implementation of the EKSA Self-Audit on 15 May 2026.
The one-day course, held at the EXA Training Room and Zetta Training Room, aimed to enhance staff understanding of EKSA concepts and practices while reinforcing its implementation across all zones and divisions within iDEC. The programme also provided participants with exposure to EKSA internal auditing methods and promoted a standardised approach to EKSA implementation in accordance with established guidelines.
The knowledge-sharing sessions were delivered by three speakers: Pn Azhana Abdullah, Pn Zurayawati Sulaiman, and Pn Ts Rosliza Ibrahim. Topics covered included an introduction to EKSA, its criteria and best practices, the importance of standardisation in EKSA implementation, and effective approaches to conducting self-audits.
Following the course, the EKSA Self-Audit was carried out on 15 May 2026, involving all zones and workspaces within iDEC. The audit aimed to assess compliance with EKSA criteria, identify areas for improvement, and ensure the consistent and sustainable implementation of EKSA practices throughout the organisation.
Through the audit process, each zone was given the opportunity to review aspects such as cleanliness, organisation, workplace safety, document management, and innovation initiatives that contribute to a more systematic and productive working environment. The audit findings will serve as a reference for corrective actions and continuous improvement efforts in preparation for future evaluations.
The successful organisation of the course and implementation of the self-audit demonstrate iDEC’s commitment to embedding EKSA practices as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance service quality, strengthen organisational governance, and create a conducive, safe, and efficient workplace environment in line with the aspirations of Universiti Putra Malaysia.
