4 February 2025, Serdang - Infocomm Development Center (iDEC) organized an Enterprise Architecture (EA) Modeling Language Course attended by 35 officers. Officers who have participated in this course have been nominated by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International), Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs) as well as Heads of Administration related to Academics at Universiti Putra Malaysia. Participants are also from among iDEC officers who are data, application and technology teams.

Following on from the EA Scope Determination Workshop held on 7 January 2025, the initial scope that has been agreed is related to the academic affairs of UPM students. Information related to the life cycle of UPM students is provided and serves as a reference or case study during the course session. The course has explained about the basic concepts of the Archimate modeling language and its relationship with the Enterprise Architecture framework properly. The proper mapping of EA diagrams according to the ArchiMate modeling language has been able to be produced using case studies.

Knowledge sharing was delivered by Ts. Esmawaty Mohamad who is an instructor and training consultant from the National Institute of Administration (INTAN). Hopefully the participants will apply the knowledge that has been given in the implementation of EA UPM development.
