CloudDesk: Supporting AI transformation

  9 August 2024, Serdang - The Infocomm Development Center (iDEC), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) through the Digitization and Smart Campus Division organized a briefing delivered by a representative of CloudDesk Technology Sdn. Bhd. This briefing aims to explain how the company can support UPM's efforts in realizing the AI Transformation Plan, with a specific focus on the field of food security.

 

In the session, representatives from CloudDesk introduced some of their main products that are capable of driving UPM's digital transformation. Featured products include vDesk, vApp, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), vMap, and vDash. These products offer solutions that simplify IT management, increase operational efficiency, and save costs for universities.

CloudDesk representatives explained how their technology can be leveraged to accelerate research and development in food security at UPM. By using VDI and other virtualization products, researchers at UPM can access a flexible and secure virtual work environment, enabling collaboration between departments and more efficient use of data.

Additionally, with vMap and vDash, UPM can optimize resource utilization, monitor AI workflows, and ensure research data security. This is critical to ensure that research in food safety can be conducted smoothly and achieve optimal results.

Through this briefing, CloudDesk Technology Sdn. Bhd. has shown great potential in supporting AI transformation at UPM. With the solutions they offer, UPM can increase research efficiency, reduce operating costs, and strengthen its position as a leading research university, especially in the field of food security.
