CANVA CODE COURSE ENHANCES DIGITAL SKILLS OF UPM STAFF

SERDANG, 24 June 2025 – The Canva Code Course Enhances UPM Staff's Digital Skills is one of the initiatives under Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM)'s digitalization and staff skill enhancement efforts, organized by the Information and Communication Development Centre (IDEC).

The Canva Code: A.I Prompt course, conducted online for two hours, successfully attracted the participation of 70 staff members from various departments. The course was facilitated by Ts. Saiful Ramadzan Hairani, a technology and visual innovation practitioner actively promoting AI-based smart design approaches to the academic community as well as management and administrative staff.

This course introduced participants to the use of Canva Code, a method of automatic graphic generation using prompts (text-based instructions) interpreted by Canva's AI system. This approach not only accelerates the design process but also ensures more professional, consistent, and creative outcomes.

Canva Code Course Structure:

  • Introduction to Canva and AI Integration

  • Basics of Prompt Writing in Canva Code

  • Automated Design with Template Codes

  • Practical Exercise: From Code to Design

  • Q&A and Tips Sharing Session
