Bengkel Penyelarasan Pemakaian Pekeliling ICT Siri 2

SERDANG, 26 February 2026 – The InfoComm Development Centre (iDEC), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), organised the ICT Circular Implementation Coordination Workshop Series 2 at Thinker Space 2.0, Faculty of Engineering. The workshop was part of iDEC’s ongoing efforts to strengthen ICT governance and ensure that ICT circulars and guidelines are implemented in a coordinated, systematic, and effective manner across the university.

The workshop aimed to coordinate the implementation of ICT circulars, policies, and guidelines issued by relevant authorities with the specific requirements and implementation context of UPM. Such coordination is important to ensure that established requirements are clearly understood and consistently translated into the university’s ICT management and operational practices.

The workshop also served as a continuation of the ICT Circular Implementation Coordination Workshop Series 2 previously conducted on 8 October 2025. The follow-up session provided participants with an opportunity to review developments, obtain further clarification, and coordinate appropriate actions on matters identified during the previous workshop.

Participants comprised iDEC officers who were divided into several working groups, namely the Data Group, Infrastructure Group, and Web Group. The grouping according to specific areas of responsibility enabled discussions to be conducted in a more focused manner, taking into consideration the functions, scope of work, and technical requirements of each respective group.

Through the discussions and coordination sessions, participants were able to exchange views, identify implementation issues, and explore appropriate approaches to further strengthen compliance with ICT circulars and guidelines.

Overall, the workshop is expected to support iDEC’s efforts in streamlining ICT management and governance at UPM, while ensuring that the implementation of ICT policies, circulars, and guidelines remains relevant, systematic, and aligned with the university’s current needs and strategic direction.
