OBJECTIVES OF PREPARING THE DATA LANDSCAPE GUIDELINES

1. Transforming Data into a University Strategic Asset: Establishing consistent and high-quality data management standards across all Centres of Responsibility (PTJs), with emphasis on standards compliance, information integrity, and clear ownership accountability.
    
2. Eliminating Data Silos through Centralised Integration: Providing a modern, integrated data integration layer that connects academic, financial, human resources, research, campus IoT, and external agency systems into integrated storage platforms, including Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Data Marts.
    
3. Strengthening Information Sovereignty, Security, and Privacy: Comprehensively implementing the principles of Privacy by Design and Security by Design to ensure that every data layer fully complies with applicable acts, regulations, and standards.
    
4. Fostering a Data-Driven Decision-Making Culture: Enhancing the university's analytical capabilities beyond historical reporting (Descriptive & Diagnostic) towards intelligent forecasting and automated intervention recommendations (Predictive & Prescriptive) through the integration of analytics platforms and ethical AI models.
    
5. Establishing Transparent Governance Structures and Action Channels: Institutionalising stakeholder roles through the RACI matrix (Responsibility, Accountability, Consulted, and Informed) and establishing tiered decision-making processes to ensure that every insight is translated into legitimate policy actions.
    
6. Ensuring System Sustainability through Continuous Improvement: Implementing the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) methodology and user Feedback Loop as mechanisms for regular monitoring to achieve key KPIs and optimise the adoption rate of executive dashboards.
