22 Mac 2024, Serdang: The Academic Management and Admissions Division of the International Islamic University of Malaysia (UIAM) has conducted a benchmarking visit to the Infocomm Development Center (iDEC) at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). The purpose of this visit is to obtain information regarding the Development and use of the Putra@VID smart card system at UPM.

This visit was attended by a total of seven representatives from the Academic Management and Admission Division of IIUM led by the Deputy Director of the Academic Management and Admission Division and Information Technology Officer of IIUM.

This visit aims to gain an in-depth understanding of the development of the Putra@VID smart card system used at UPM by UPM Students and Staff. Putra@VID is a virtual identification of students/staff at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) to replace the existing student matric card/staff card (physical card). It contains student/staff information such as Name, Number. Student Matric/No. Staff and QR Code.
