Bingkas menjayakan kerangka strategik Universiti

The strategic framework of Universiti Putra Malaysia that has been developed by the Vice Chancellor is in line with:

  1. UPM's DNA - Food Security, Agriculture and Other Strategic Differences.
  2. KPT's 5 Main Focuses for the year 2024 as well as Higher Education Goals - 11 YBM Aspirations
  3. National Goal - Malaysia Madani
  4. World Goals - Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS)

It is also based on UPM's Vision and Mission statement which is:

Vision - To become an internationally reputable university.

UPM's current vision and strategic position (the true north) is necessary to guide the university.

Mission
1. Make a Meaningful Contribution
2. Creation of Prosperity
3. National Development
4. Human Welfare
5. Through the Exploration and Dissemination of Knowledge

Results-Driven, Value-Driven and Inclusive - To get the desired results, all initiatives must be results-based, value-driven and inclusive.

6 main cores that are necessary to support the balance of UPM. UPM must be the university of choice in all aspects. This will ensure that everyone in the university can and will contribute.

  1. Service Exceeds Expectations (Service and Testing)
  2. Relevant and High Impact Research (Research and innovation)
  3. Community Commitment (Community Appreciated)
  4. Best Learning and Life Experience (Academic)
  5. Industrial empowerment
  6. Global Fame

5 fundamentals that are important to ensure that the university continues to function and grow. Without a solid foundation, UPM's strategic house will collapse.

  1. Talent; Competent Facilitator
  2. Sustainable Resources/Sustainability of Resources
  3. Governan
  4. Data and Policies
  5. Promotion and Branding

Fix the basics which is to solve crises and issues immediately, improve the weaknesses in the basics and mobilize the excellence of all 6 pillars that are the True North and the identity and the main role of the university. It will help the university leap forward and further maintain its position at the front. The risk of stepping out of the comfort zone as well as the concerted efforts strategically organized by a strong team will make for future excellence. Actions that can bring down the University also need to be avoided so that success can be had.
