UPM : Cashless Payments and Digital Certification Using Blockchain Technology

Blockchain technology is a technology that is used as a fast and secure data transmission platform. This technology is very important and useful in diversifying the functionality of the blockchain. The use of Blockchain Technology used in cashless transaction systems is to ensure the transaction system is fast and secure. While Blockchain Technology is also used as one of the techniques in determining the digital scan validation of each student.

For a cashless payment method, students will need to download the Zwallet app from the Play Store on their smartphone. Each student's application for this application requires email only. Students are then required to fill in the Zwallet token by adding value to the Zwallet account. When making a payment, students must use a mobile phone to read the QR code for each item purchased. Once the QR code reading is complete, the payment rate is automatically sent to the store account. Then the token rate will be deducted from the student account based on the price of the item.

Whereas to determine the validity of each student's digital scroll, the university provides an ID for each student's scroll. Students will receive an email from UPM as notification of their scroll ID upon completion of the study. Employers at work can confirm student scrolling by uploading a file to the Zscroll application for university validation of their scroll validity. The system extracts content from scanned pdf files using OCR and generates hash values and matches Blockchain about matrix numbers with specific hash values. If the hash value match is correct then the certificate is genuine, if different then false.

With a cashless payment method, students can make payments smoothly and securely, no longer lining up at the payment counter, sending tokens to friends can be made without the knowledge of a third party. As well as saving students time from making cash withdrawals at the counter. Zscroll, in turn, aims to increase the confidence of employers in students who will work to ensure the authenticity of the scroll, as well as reduce the activity of using fake scrolls.

Blockchain technology is inspired by digital technology, it stores information in the blocks in the chain. Consensus techniques without third parties use dedicated servers instead. It guarantees digital documents from being altered by irresponsible parties. Cryptographic techniques such as encryption, digital signature and pairing keys for each block in the chain are guaranteed to be used as token transactions and digital scrolling authentication.

Management and administration are increasingly modern and are strongly supported by ICT technology. Likewise in telecommunications, it has also used ICT technology to enable telecommunication facilities to be seamless. Contrary to the traditional implementation concept, telecommunications are now using ICT networks to enable their implementation.
