STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT

Strategic management is an ongoing process that needs to be implemented by an agency including several important elements such as:

  1. understand the strategic position of the agency;
  2. identify and develop strategy and program options;
  3. implement selected strategies and programs;
  4. evaluate the achievement of the prescribed implementation; and so on
  5. make appropriate improvements



RATIONALE OF STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT REQUIREMENTS

  2. Prudent financial management and spending (Outcome Based Budgeting approach)
  3. Strategic Collaboration
  4. In line with the National Agenda / National Policy such as the 11MP
  5. High expectations from customers and stakeholders
  6. Empowerment
  7. The challenge is to form a strategic and integrated governance
  8. Public engagement (Era Government knows best is over)
  9. Customer-friendly delivery system and easy for the people
