Serdang, 6 March 2026 – The iDEC Welfare and Recreation Club (KRiDEC) successfully organized a Ramadan Tazkirah program titled “Ramadan, If You Were to Leave” as part of a spiritual enrichment initiative for staff of the Information and Communication Development Centre (iDEC), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). The program was conducted in a hybrid format at the iDEC Gamma Lobby and via Google Meet.

The invited speaker for this session was Muhammad Norhisyam bin Nordin, the Imam of Masjid UPM, who shared reflections on appreciating the significance of the month of Ramadan. He emphasized the importance of valuing every remaining moment by enhancing the quality of worship, as if it were one’s final Ramadan before its conclusion.

Among the key points highlighted were the practice of good manners and noble deeds, including the importance of benefiting others. Acts of helping fellow human beings were described as highly virtous, even surpassing the reward of performing itikaf for an entire month at Masjid Nabawi. Emphasis was also placed on increasing the recitation of the holy verses of the Al-Quran throughout this blessed month.

The sharing session concluded with a prayer led by Ustaz Muhammad Norhisyam bin Nordin, marking the end of a programme filled with meaningful spiritual reflections and positive values. The programme is hoped to inspire the iDEC community to remain consistent in performing good deeds, strengthen fellowship, and deepen their appreciation of Ramadan. At the same time, iDEC staff are encouraged to maintain their productivity, discipline, and high-quality work performance throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
