On the  2nd and 3rd of October 2017, the Second Surveillance Audit for the Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) - ISO/IEC 27001:2013 which was conducted by SIRIM QAS Bhd. saw the direct involvement of iDEC as a key auditee.

Among the Cost Centers that were audited were:

• Admission and Academic Administration Division
• Student Affairs Division
• Sultan Abdul Samad Library
• Registrar's Office
• Corporate Strategy and Communications Office (CoSComm)
• Legal Advisory Office
