iDEC Conducts Second EKSA Assessment to Strengthen a Quality and Conducive Workplace Culture

SERDANG, 28 July 2026 – The InfoComm Development Centre (iDEC), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), conducted its Second EKSA Assessment for 2026 as part of its continuous commitment to strengthening the implementation of the Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem (EKSA) across the organization. The assessment commenced at 9.00 a.m. and formed part of iDEC's ongoing efforts to ensure that EKSA practices are implemented consistently, systematically, and effectively throughout all working zones.

The assessment was led by Mr. Nazroli Hakiemie Rahmat as the Chief Auditor, assisted by Ms. Lili Amira Hazinina and Ms. Siti Karlizah Rahman as auditors. The audit team evaluated each zone based on EKSA criteria, including workplace cleanliness, organization, safety, workspace management, records and file management, green practices, and innovation initiatives that contribute to service excellence.

During the assessment, every zone had the opportunity to showcase the improvements and initiatives undertaken to create a cleaner, safer, and more productive working environment. In addition to identifying strengths and best practices, the auditors provided constructive recommendations to further enhance EKSA implementation and ensure alignment with public sector best practices and the University's quality objectives.

The assessment serves not only as an internal evaluation exercise but also as a platform to cultivate a workplace culture that emphasizes discipline, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Through the adoption of EKSA principles, iDEC staff are encouraged to optimize workspace utilization, improve operational efficiency, promote sustainability, and strengthen the organization's professional image as UPM's ICT service provider.

The outcomes of the assessment are expected to guide each zone in implementing further improvements while reinforcing a culture of organizational excellence. With the continued commitment of all iDEC staff, EKSA will remain a key driver in supporting Universiti Putra Malaysia's aspiration to deliver services that are efficient, innovative, customer-focused, and sustainable.
