Serdang, June 19, 2020: UPM InfoComm Development Center (iDEC) has received delegation visits from the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) and Malaysian Research & Education Network (MYREN). The objective of the visit was to look at the facilities and availability of Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) UPM.

The visit was led by Mrs. Fadzilah Ahmad (KPT) along with Fahwani Hj. Mohd. Ali, Fadzilah Ahmad who is the KPT and MYREN NOC officer Mohd. Noh Physical, Abd. Hamid Ariffin and Muhamad Hafizi Jalil. The visit was welcomed by Mohd. Faizal David, iDEC Deputy Director (ICT Services), Tuan Haji Mohamad Farid Harun, Head of Data Center Section and Data Center Section Staff, iDEC.

Mr Faizal Daud shared the history of the establishment of the UPM Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) and the MYREN Server deployment under KPT as well as a brief description of the servers deployed in clusters. The delegation also visited the Data Center which the MYREN KPT infrastructure cloud is located.
