Universiti Putra Malaysia would like to invite participants to the Workshop on Desktop Grid Computing that will be held on 27 - 30 September 2011 in Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia. This workshop is organized by High Performance Computing Services Section, Laboratory of Computational Sciences and Mathematical Research (INSPEM) and jointly organized by InfoComm Development Center (iDEC) UPM. This workshop will be fully supported by the International Desktop Grid Federation (IDGF) under the project of DEGISCO. Its focus on the desktop grid for eScience roadmap which is a new version that has been published. A seminar on issues and opportunities in  Desktop Grid will be presented.

Workshop on Desktop Grid Computing will provide a platform for scientific users, Desktop Grid operation, system administrators and application developers to exchange experience about Desktop Grids and related technologies. The tutorials are useful for those who want to get an insight in the technologies provided by Desktop Grid systems, applications, theoretical and practical knowledge about Desktop Grid Computing.
